yo ,"Giant Squid" games. hire me. i work gud.
Abzu definitely earns my seal of approval as being one of the best gaming experiences ever. granted im a sucker for underwater games, and anything ocean related, so it was perfect for me. brought to to you by some of the same people who did "Journey" , Abzu shares much of the same vibe and atmosphere and if you like Journey chances you'll love Abzu.
it has great visuals , great music (by "Journey" composer, Austin Wintory ), making a complete package on whimsical wonder. the amount of fish it throws at you its amazing, and you'll be in the mood for sushi by the end. if you like game like , Ecco the Dolphin, Aquanauts Holiday , treasures of the deep, Endless Ocean, then Abzu is definitely a game you should try.
oh. and Doom is cool too, i guess.

NOTE:this was made before they removed the tracking form pokemon Go. great timing
the wonderful world of "Pokemon Go" where the stories surrounding the game are way more incredible than the game it self. which include people finding dead bodies with it. real life fighting over gyms, and muggers using the app to lure victims.
but its not all been bad. it also been use to help people with anxiety, kids in hospitals , promoting the metrics system, aiding to solve the obesity problem, and helping small local businesses. at this rate it wont surprise me if someone accidentally finds the cure to cancer using "Pokemon go".
..oh yeah. go team Valor

yeah my idea was better
so i get woken up by the wife to the news that "Pokemon GO" has been released. what follow is a day of strolling around the streets of my neighborhood searching for Pokemon (gotta catch them all) . more surprising is that were were not the only ones on the street. in this regard i do find it that this game has a very positive side effect of getting people to walk more. on the other hand, it also has the horrible side effect of making people not look where they are walking. if you haven't heard people are already getting into accidents because of this and i'm sure there will be more in the future
also noticed there a pokemon Gym right on my corner. ill be sure to claim it as my own. after all "i wanna to be the very best, like no one ever was"

that's totally how it would go.
what a wonderful movie. i mean i expected a good animated movie , i id not expect and well told detective story dealing racism and prejudice. its quite refreshing to see and so far it seem that its payed off by being one of the biggest grossing movies this year. cant wait for that sequel ...directed by David Fincher?

i dont know if you seen that video of that lady with the chewbacca mask but just in case here's a link
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3yRv5Jg5TI
i don't think i laugh so much at something so simple, and dumb, but this lady laughter is infectious. and that has pay off for her as shes gotten alot in return. interviews, guess appearances on shows and Disney sent her a bunch of merchandise, although i say they're being kind of cheap. she deserves a life time supply of star wars toys for the amount of advertising she did for that mask. and it has work. i want one! the mask can make you happy with its magical Chewbacca powers. but that mask is going upwards of a $100 dollars on ebay. damn it. I NEED IT!!
oh yeah, and Overwatch is alright i guess

so the day finally came. i've been watching this production close since they announced it. having been disappointed with "man of steel" i did not have confidence in pulling this one, and you can check back to know how i poke fun at all the decisions. however, i did get hyped near released and so wanted it to work. so what did i think of the film? it was....ok. and this "ok" rating was achieved by witnessing a film with some great elements in it, and then countering said elements with some really wrong decisions. this is basically a puzzle made of gold: they had all these great pieces, but have no idea how to put them together right.
spoiler talk
to be honest, this movie had me going for the first 3rd. all the ideas were there, i was digging the mood they were going for, and i was wondering if that rotten tomatoes meter rating was undeserved...but then some things start to feel force and some decisions are not given enough weight. and the end turns into CGi fest that just felt boring. i will say that the everytime that wonder woman theme show up it put in some much needed energy into the film, and it really worked for wonder womans reveal (nice work there Junkie XL). batman really is the best thing about this film and it totally feels like Zack Snyder wanted to do a batman film, he just was contractually obligated to put superman in it. and this my main gripe, which i said since they first announce this film, that superman was going to get shafted in this movie, and he did. i will admit that the little characterization that they gave superman in this film was better than everything in "man of steel". and i understand why its getting alot of hate. alot of the ideas here could be made into their own film, but by being all together in one , none of them get the time they deserve.
the one thing i did not expect to happen is that they do the Death of superman in this film. i mean that's blowing your load way too soon. and besides we know hes not really dead, so what the point. this move feels unearned and doesn't really add any impact since we know he will be back. and on that, man, did they turned the "Jesus" imagery to 11, like the framing of those shots in "man of steel" was annoying, but here its goddam ridiculous. most issue i can track back to studio demands and the directors approach. WB really wanted to set up the cinematic universe , and it feels as force here as in the "amazing spiderman2". and Zack Snyder he really doesn't know what hes doing here, and this is coming from someone who loved most of his films, only hating "Sucker Punch" and MoE. the best critique i heard of him is that "hes the guy that reads the comics and is more in love on how the costumes look than the characters in those costumes". what we get here is a great visual representation of these comic icons, but its also very superficial characterization.
this movie needed a safer direction or a more competent director. as is right now its a mixed bag. i find it ok. it does get me excited for the batman and wonder woman flicks, but sours me on any future superman movie, and that's a bummer

Today's strip is brought to you by an unhealthy obsession with Rocket league. the game where you use tiny cars to play soccer, and every time you score you will feel like space ace that just blew up the Deathstar. on the other hand, you will throw a Kylo Ren level tantrum every time you, or team mate, fail to block the easiest shot is history GODAAmmmit$$%#!@$!
Happy new year everyone!!!

oh Captain Phasma. you needed more love in the "force awakens", but fear not. you have a place in my heart and my secret Fanfic: "hot Phasma nights". coming to a Tumblr near you?
Star Wars: think of this franchise like a hamburger, this was one of your favorite type of Burgers growing up, but then they came out with a new recipe, which said that it was going to be better. it looked good, but then you taste it, and it feels cheap and with no soul. it has fancy new ingredients but they can replicate that original taste. "ok, im gonna try it a few more times, see if the get it right" you say. but nope. that nostalgic flavor is if gone. now you see the restaurant is under new management , bringing the original recipe back. with some skepticism you have another try a that classic burger to see if it feels like old times. you taste it, you can feel it has ingridients from this era, but they recapture that old flavor again. this is a good Burger.
so The force Awakens; it was good. and this is no spoiler review here: the movie was good , and to me it ended up being better than i expected. mind you i had little hype so im surprise as how much i like it. it plays it safe as it retreads familiar ground, it's basically a HD remaster of "A New Hope", with a little "Empire Strikes back" thrown into the mix. this repackage of old things feels fresh thanks to the new characters, which are likable and feel human. something that the Prequels totally miss the mark on. one fear i had was that there would be too many calls backs like in the "Star Trek" remake, but here they were few and they fit in better. i do like that J.J. Abrams carry some things over from the "star trek" flick like the blasters; they felt like they had real impact. i like that.
the best thing about this movie is that it was fun. it had a great sense of humor, pacing, great action, and the developing of the characters felt natural. I wont call it my favorite movie ever, or this year, but one that can definitely see my self re-watching often.
now i ask: does anyone know where you can get custom made "Dakimakuras"? i have a joke i need to take too far.
